Job Summary The Rehab Miner is expected to perform a range of duties including scaling, mucking, installing ground support and/or reinforcement using shotcrete, drift excavation (face drilling, loading and blasting). The successful individual must exhibit a safety approach and ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned duties. Schedule is 7/7 working 10 hour shifts. Qualifications
  • Ontario Underground Hard Rock Common Core
    • Must have modules U0028, U0068A, U0004, U0005
  • Previous Jackleg/Stoper experience require
  • Previous Scoop experience required
  • Previous Scissor Deck experience required
  • Previous ground support installation required
  • Ability to read and understand designed ground support plans
  • Willingness to conduct pre-access testing as a condition of employment

Job Summary The role of the underground mechanic is to provide preventative maintenance and repairs to diesel, electrical, hydraulic and air operated equipment. The mechanic is expected to work as part of a team to troubleshoot issues and find a solution in a safe, efficient manner. They must exhibit strong attention to detail and comprehension of written and verbal instructions distributed by the Lead Mechanic. Qualifications
  • Valid Ontario Mechanic License or equivalent
  • Ontario Hard Rock Underground Common Core
  • Previous underground mechanic experience
  • Knowledge of underground equipment
  • Ability to recognize and resolve problems as required
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Willingness to conduct pre-access testing as a condition of employment
