General Responsibilities
  • provide support to the Manroc site team by maintaining a visible presence in the field
  • conduct site safety audits and inspections
  • review and analyze accident prevention programs
  • mentor supervisors in Leading Indicator application
  • assess effectiveness of current policy and procedure, and participate in review and revision as necessary
  • lead and/or provide support with incident investigation and follow-up
  • manage site employee training and training records
  • Provide support and assistance to the Barrick team as required
Qualifications
  • minimum 5 to 7 years underground experience
  • previous experience in a safety professional role
  • Certification as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or the ability to achieve (asset).

Job Summary The Logistics Miner is responsible for transporting gear underground, assisting with the installation of ground support, and ensuring sufficient consumables and supplies are available for underground activities. All duties must be performed in a safe, efficient manner that is dedicated to achieving production goals. The Logistics Miner will be required to report directly to the designated Supervisor and complete daily safety and work line ups that are distributed to them. Qualifications
  • Ontario Hard Rock Underground Common Core
    • U0024 Module required
  • Previous underground experience
  • Willingness to conduct pre-access testing as a condition of employment
  • Ability to work well with others

Job Summary The Development Miner is expected to perform a range of duties including scaling, mucking, installing ground support and/or reinforcement using shotcrete, drift excavation (face drilling, loading and blasting). The successful individual must exhibit a safety approach and ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned duties. Qualifications
