Job Summary The Alimak Raise Leader is required to conduct underground raise excavations, construct mechanized raise set ups, scale loose rock, drill, load and blast rock. The ability to read and interpret mine plans is a necessity in this role. The raise leader must exhibit comprehension of written and verbal instructions as required to perform the required duties in a safe, efficient manner. Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Alimak/Raise climber machines
  • Must have Ontario Hard Rock Underground Common Core
    • Must have U0064 module
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and independently
  • Ability to work with a partner
  • Willingness to conduct pre-access testing as a condition of employment
    • Testing requirements are based on the client’s site requirements
      • Drug and alcohol test / criminal record check
    • Good communication skills; both verbal and written
Accountabilities:
  • Ensure you and your partner follow all Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Ensure you lead by example using the 5-point safety system, field level risk assessments and addressing all JHS concerns.
  • Ensure the use of the Internal Responsibility System with yourself and team members.
  • Ensure all hazards are reported in accordance with relevant procedures.
  • Assist and coach partner in completing all scheduled activities
  • Coordinate the return of all unused materials to proper storage locations. This also includes proper housekeeping of work areas.
  • Make suggested improvements and/or recommendations to the process.

Job Summary The MacLean Bolter is required to operate a mechanized bolter in a safe, efficient manner that is dedicated to achieving production goals. Their duties include development and rehab tasks involved with mechanized bolting and ground support installation. The successful candidate will be required to report directly to their designated supervisor. They must comply in accordance with the daily safety and work line up provided by the supervisor. Qualifications
  • Must have previous work experience on a mechanized bolter
  • Must have Ontario Underground Hard Rock Common Core
    • Must have module U0018
  • Willingness to conduct pre-access testing as a condition of employment
    • Testing requirements are based on the client’s site requirements
      • Drug and alcohol test / criminal record check / medical
    • Good communication skills; both verbal and written

Job Summary The role of the underground mechanic is to provide preventative maintenance and repairs to diesel, electrical, hydraulic and air operated equipment. The mechanic is expected to work as part of a team to troubleshoot issues and find a solution in a safe, efficient manner. They must exhibit strong attention to detail and comprehension of written and verbal instructions distributed by the Lead Mechanic. Qualifications
  • Valid Ontario Journeyman Ticket or equivalent is an asset.
  • Ontario Hard Rock Underground Common Core is an asset.
  • Previous underground mechanic experience an asset.
  • Knowledge of underground equipment an asset.
  • Ability to recognize and resolve problems as required
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Willingness to conduct pre-access testing as a condition of employment
    • Testing requirements are based on the client’s site requirements
