Underground Supervisor

Reporting to the Mine Captain, the Supervisor manages front line employees and ensures that all aspects of the contracting operations are conducted in a safe, productive and efficient manner.

7/7 rotation working nights only – 12 hour shifts

Drug and Alcohol Test required as well as client approved site access.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Underground Nightshift Supervisor will maintain comprehensive safety programs in conjunction with the Safety Department.
• Reinforce safety, on a continual basis, by providing support, information policy, and monitoring to the crews.
• Will ensure that crews have the means of accomplishing work requirements, by following the “5-point Safety System” and the “Internal Responsibility System”, so as to obtain maximum performance, without compromising safety.
• Ensure that all procedures are performed safe, and there is always a clean and healthy environment.
• Shall carry out consistent practices with company’s environmental and safety policies, and in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Labour and Ministry of Environment and other government legislations.
• Will advise management of unsafe conditions or work practices and correct and report any unsafe conditions to Management.
