Underground Mechanic

Job Summary

The Underground Mechanic is responsible for the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic underground mining equipment. Working closely with the maintenance team, the successful candidate will diagnose issues and implement safe, efficient solutions to support ongoing production and equipment reliability.

This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions provided by the Lead Mechanic while maintaining a strong commitment to workplace safety.

• Drive-in site
• Accommodations
• 7/7 or 14/14 rotation
• Rotating day and night shifts

Requirements

• Client-approved site access
• Drug and alcohol testing required

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Mechanic License or recognized equivalent
• Ontario Underground Hard Rock Common Core and asset
• Previous underground mechanic experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of underground mining equipment
• Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical issues efficiently
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Commitment to safe work practices and procedures
