Truck Operator

Job Summary

The Truck Operator is responsible for hauling material and performing pre-operational checks of the equipment. They must perform their duties in a safe, efficient manner that is dedicated to achieving production goals. The operator will be required to report directly to the designated supervisor and complete daily safety and work line ups that are distributed to them.

Qualifications

• Ontario Hard Rock Underground Common Core and Asset
  • Module U0091 an asset
• Previous underground experience
• Ability to work well with others
• Willingness to conduct pre-access testing as a condition of employment
  • Testing requirements are based on the client’s site requirements
    • Drug and alcohol test
  • Good communication skills; both verbal and written

Accountabilities:

• Ensure you follow all Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Ensure tasks are performed safely and efficiently while performing activities such as (but not limited to) haul truck services.
• Must comply with all Manroc and client policies, procedures and standards.
• Ensure that all goals and targets are met to guarantee success of the project while staying focused on safety.
• Ensure all hazards are reported in accordance with relevant procedures.
• Ensure the return of all unused materials to proper storage locations. This also includes proper housekeeping of work areas.
