Development Miner (Jackleg/Stoper)

Job Summary

The Development Miner is expected to perform a range of duties including, conduct underground raise installations, construct mechanized raise set-ups scaling, mucking, installing ground support and/or reinforcement using shotcrete, drift excavation (face drilling, loading and blasting). The successful individual must exhibit a safety approach and ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Ontario Underground Hard Rock Common Core
• Previous Jackleg/Stoper experience
• Previous Raise experience in an asset
• Ability to read and understand designed ground support plans
• Willingness to conduct pre-access testing as a condition of employment
