Job Summary
The Scoop Operator will be required to use LHD and Haulage equipment in a safe, efficient manner. The operator is responsible for conducting pre-operational checks of the equipment. This position also entails support duties as required for project completion. The selected candidate will report directly to their designated supervisor and complete the daily safety and work line-ups that are provided by said supervisor.
14/14 rotation – days and nights – 10.5 hour shifts
Qualifications
- Previous underground experience required
- Ontario Underground Hard Rock Common Core
- Must have modules U0068A, U0068B and remote U0020
Accountabilities:
- Ensure you follow all Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Ensure tasks are performed safely and efficiently while performing activities such as (but not limited to) mucking and installing services.
- Must comply with all Manroc and client policies, procedures and standards.
- Ensure that all goals and targets are met to guarantee success of the project while staying focused on safety.
- Ensure all hazards are reported in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Ensure the return of all unused materials to proper storage locations. This also includes proper housekeeping of work areas.
