Development Miner (Jackleg/Stoper) Job Summary The Development Miner is expected to perform a range of duties including, conduct underground raise installations, construct mechanized raise set-ups scaling, mucking, installing ground support and/or reinforcement using shotcrete, drift excavation (face drilling, loading and blasting). The successful individual must exhibit a safety approach and ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned duties. Qualifications

  • Previous Jackleg/Stoper experience
  • Previous Raise experience in an asset

Job Summary The Raise Blaster is responsible for loading explosives in blast holes, prepping faces, and tying in blasts to the pattern by connecting electrical wires, detonating cords into series. All duties must be performed in a safe, efficient manner that is dedicated to achieving production goals. The Blaster will be required to report directly to the designated Supervisor and complete the daily safety and work line ups that are distributed to them. Qualifications
  • Ontario Hard Rock Underground Common Core (REQUIRED)
  • Previous experience as a Raise Blaster (REQUIRED)
  • Willingness to conduct pre-access testing as a condition of employment
